The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area daily. The service place made for intervention activities a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance companies,” the sassa status agency said.
